Your input is needed for upcoming NIE project

Earlier this month, MPA sent a brief survey to Missouri’s newspapers to gauge interest in a project with the National World War I Museum to create Newspaper In Education content to be published in the spring of 2017, for the Centennial of the United States entering into WWI.

About 40 newspapers responded with enthusiasm for the project – some even offering suggestions on content! But we need to hear from more of you – about 246 more of you!

This is an important project to teach readers of all ages about WWI and remind Missourians that our state is home to the nation’s official World War I museum. To secure funding, we need data on potential participation.

This material would be provided to you ready to print at no cost to your newspaper.

We are considering building incentives into the project, as we did for the Missouri Road Trip project we created in the summer of 2015. MPF returned $4,000 in sponsorship funds back to many of the Missouri newspapers that published the series.

Please respond to DAWN KITCHELL, dawnkitchell@gmail.com, and let me know that your newspaper would be interested in this project on WWI.
