Newsroom Skills Training Friday at RJI in Columbia

Missouri Press Foundation is pleased to be partnering with faculty from the University of Missouri School of Journalism to offer training on key newsroom skills this Friday, March 9, at the Reynolds Journalism Institute in Columbia.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn better techniques for reporting on local government, using social media, writing better headlines for print and digital and mining data for good stories. The cost is $50, and includes lunch.

Four one-hour sessions will be lead byJohn Schneller, Associate Professor of Print and Digital News and Kemper Award Recipient; Joy Mayer, Director of Community Outreach; David Herzog, Creator of OpenMissouri.org; and Frank Russell, Assistant Professor of Print and Digital News and visiting editor from the San Jose Mercury News.
