Candidate forums will be livestreamed on YouTube
Missouri Press Association will host political candidate forums Friday, Sept. 20. They will feature candidates in the Missouri gubernatorial and U.S. Senate races that will appear on the November general election ballot.
If you’re not able to attend the forums, you can tune in through YouTube thanks to Springfield’s History Museum on the Square. The museum is located adjacent to and helps maintain the Fox Theatre, where the forums will be held.
The history museum’s YouTube page is here: https://www.youtube.com/@historymuseumonthesquare.

The gubernatorial forum is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Expected participants are Republican Mike Kehoe, Democrat Crystal Quade, Libertarian Bill Slantz and Green Party candidate Paul Lehmann.
The U.S. Senate forum is scheduled for 3:20 p.m. Committed participants include Democrat Lucas Kunce, Better Party candidate Jared Young and Green Party candidate Nathan Kline. Republican incumbent Josh Hawley has not indicated he will participate in the forum.
Each forum is expected to last 60 minutes. David Lieb of the Associated Press will moderate and panelists posing questions to the candidates are Lucas Presson, Southeast Missourian; Alvin A. Reid, St. Louis American; and Christine Temple, Springfield Business Journal.
The candidate forums are not open to the public and the deadline for media to request credentials to attend in person has passed. Missouri Press members attending the Annual Convention and Tradeshow will use their convention name badge to enter the forums.
