Bob Davis

Robert “Bob” Davis, 87, formerly of Houston, died March 19, 2026, in St. Louis, surrounded by family.

Attending the University of Missouri School of Journalism, Davis returned to his hometown after graduating to carry forward the family’s legacy in local journalism by publishing the Houston Herald.

His love for people made him a natural newspaperman — he truly never met a stranger and brought every story and the people in them to life in the newspaper’s pages.

In addition to his wife, Nancy Jo, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer, and a son, Jeff; and many more family and friends.
