Mary Ann Kimberling

Mary Ann Kearns Kimberling, 100, died Sept. 2, 2025, at Morningside Center in Chillicothe, where she had resided the past two and a half years.

In 1948, she moved to Jamesport where her parents ran the The Jamesport News. In Jamesport, she met her second husband, Lewis Kimberling, and left the newspaper to help with the farm and raise seven children.

Following the death of her father, she returned to the newspaper to help and Lewis soon joined her. Together, they became editor and publishers of the Jamesport newspaper, which had been renamed the Tri-County Weekly in 1960.

Kimberling is survived by six children, including Terry, Ronald, Phillip, Janet, Rebecca and Natha, who continues to own and operate the Tri-County Weekly; along with 13 grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild; and many more family and friends.
