Photostory Fest, a Community Party with Award-Winning Visual Storytellers is April 25

April 25 is Photostory Fest, a day of talks featuring renowned and emerging visual storytellers, and an evening celebration of the year’s best photojournalism. Hear from New York Times photographers and editors, ProPublica journalists, student researchers and more.

Then head to Orr Street Studios for a lively community party and exhibition of award-winning images.

Photostory Fest

Location: Tucker Forum (Gannett Hall), 802 Elm St, Columbia, MO

Time: 9 a.m. –3 p.m.

  • 9 a.m. – Grace Smith on Intimacy in Sports (CPOY Silver)
  • 9:40 a.m. – 1963 in Perspective, POY Archive research from University of Missouri students
  • 10:10 a.m. – New York Time's Todd Heisler & Eve Edelheit on Finding Visual Enterprise in a Sea of Daily News
  • 11:45 a.m.  – BBQ Lunch at Lee Hills Hall
  • 1:15 p.m. – Boston Globe’s Erin Clark (POY's Photographer of the Year) on telling great local stories
  • 2 p.m. – ProPublica’s Andrea Wise & Ziva Branstetter on documentary + investigative work

Community Party & Exhibition

Time: 6 – 8 p.m.
