Winners of the 2026 Missouri Press Better Newspaper Contest were announced Saturday morning, Sept. 26, in Columbia as Missouri Press Association’s 160th Annual Convention concluded.

Gold Cup winners
Weeklies: Maryville Forum — Class 1; Springfield Business Journal — Class 2; and Washington Missourian — Class 3.
Dailies: Columbia Missourian — Class 4.

The inaugural recipient of the Missouri Journalist of the Year award is Amanda Mendez, publisher of the Howell County News. More information about that award is available online at www.mopress.com.
