Marjean Busby

Marjorie Jean “Marjean” Phillips Busby, 93, died Aug. 25, 2024 at Village Shalom in Overland Park, Kan.

A lifelong resident of Kansas City, she attended the University of Missouri where she majored in journalism. She put that journalism degree and her writing skills to work at The Kansas City Star for more than 40 years. 

She is survived by two stepdaughters, Sarah and Mary; two nieces, Barbara and Robin; and many more family and friends.
