MEET: Christopher Scott Gordon Feeney

Born on July 14, 1971, in Kirksville. He graduated from Kirksville High school in 1989 and later attended the University of Missouri (1994) where he graduated from the MU School of Journalism.

Feeney worked for a year at the Unterrified Democrat in Linn before he began working at the Memphis Democrat. After Chris had worked at the paper for five years, he and his wife, Karri, purchased the Democrat in 2001. She has worked there since and has a graphic design/art degree from MU.

In addition to his wife, Chris’s family includes three daughters, Abigayle (8); Katie (6), Hannah (4).
 
Feeney has also been involved in the Scotland County community. He has been the West Ward Alderman City of Memphis since 2006. He is past president of the Scotland County Rotary Club and assistant chief of the Scotland County Fire Department.

In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing and sports.
