Dates for regional press meetings set

Missouri’s regional press associations will each hold meetings in the upcoming months covering a wide variety of topics. More information about individual meetings will be available in upcoming Missouri Press publications.

A summary of each meeting is below:
Who: SEMO Press Association Meeting Registration

Meeting Flyer 

Cost: $100 per newspaper; send as many as you like

When: 2 p.m. July 14

Where: Southeast Missouri University, Cape Girardeau

Topics/Presenters: Peter Wagner — ideas to increase sales revenue, 15 totally new sales promotions and ad designs that get results; Jean Maneke — ask questions of Missouri’s Sunshine Law expert; Election forum — share election coverage wins, losses and great ideas about how to tackle’s this year’s ballot faceoffs.

Who: Ozark Press Association Meeting

Cost: $25 per attendee or $99 for a company to send unlimited attendees

Where: Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center, Springfield

Topics/Presenters: Jim Pumarlo — covering sensitive issues in a small-town newspaper, and making meeting coverage relevant and timely; Digital advertising workshop — Mark Nienhueser and Ted Lawrence will explain how Missouri Press Service can assist your digital needs; Gary Sosniecki — how your community newspaper can make money with its website; Helen Sosniecki — one-on-one postal consultations with a potential for modest-to-major postal cost savings.
