Early Deadline Nearing

In Foundation News On

July 1 is the early bird deadline to register for the Missouri Press Foundation workshop featuring Joy Mayer. That’s just about a week away.

Mayer is a sought after industry expert in connecting with newspaper readers in today’s multi-platform market. You have the opportunity to learn from her at home in a workshop she’s specifically preparing for community publications.

Register today for the MPF Community Engagement for Community News seminar to be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, July 20, at RJI on the University of Missouri campus in Columbia. The cost to register is $40 before July 1; lunch included.

Joy Mayer, associate professor at the Missouri School of Journalism, will teach you not only about the digital tools that make community conversation easier, but she’ll offer her expert insight into how to open your newsroom to interaction with your community. You’ll look at digital tools that make that easy and talk about social media and free, easy paths to online interaction.

A registration form/agenda is at mopress.com/current_forms.php.
