mo press first ladies seriesMarch is Women’s History Month and Missouri Press has features on 41 of America’s first ladies, including four newly released features on Betty Ford, Rosalyn Carter, Nancy Reagan and Barbara Bush. This series, highlighting the presidential wives through history, was donated to the Missouri Press Foundation by the Joplin Globe in 2013. Missouri Press reformatted the series to a smaller size and has been releasing part of the collection each year in March to commemorate Women’s History Month, but newspaper can publish the features at any time.
