Time is Running Out!

Time is running out to use this year’s serialized story, “Manny Kicks Long Ear Lore” at no cost through the Reading Across Missouri project.

Newspapers must begin publishing the 8-chapter story no later than June 30. After that date, it goes into the Missouri Press Foundation catalog of stories available to purchase.

“Manny Kicks Long Ear Lore” is a light-hearted interesting, educational story about the mule, told in the voice of Manny, a mule frustrated by the lack of respect his breed has gotten through the years.

The story and companion educational guide are available for download until June 30, 2013 at www.mo-nie.com using the code: readmo13.

Contact your local library and encourge them to read the story aloud from your newspaper each week as part of their summer reading program. Need more help, contact Dawn at 636-932-4301 or by email.
