Watchdog Journalism Seminar

You have until Friday, Sept. 20, to register for the Sept. 26 Watchdog Journalism seminar at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, 900 N. Tucker Blvd., St. Louis.

The one-day seminar will include sessions on "Web for Watchdogs," "Key Documents You Can’t Live Without" and "Quick-hit Watchdog Investigations."

Mark Horvit, executive director of Investigative Reporters & Editors Inc., will lead the seminar.

Registration is $40 and can be made with John Ryan, Mid-America Press Institute executive director, at jmryan@eiu.edu or 217.581.7939. The registration fee covers lunch and drinks at the seminar. The Post-Dispatch is providing free parking.

The workshop will begin with check-in at 9 a.m. and conclude by 3 p.m.

In addition to MPI, IRE and the Post-Dispatch, the seminar is being sponsored by the Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky and Indiana press associations.
