Deadline in Disaster shown during St. Louis International Film Festival

"Deadline in Disaster," a film produced by the Missouri Press Foundation, was shown at the Plaza Frontenac Cinema Thursday, Nov. 15, during the 2012 St. Louis International Film Festival. More than 200 people watched the documentary that tells the story of The Joplin Globe staff’s coverage of the May 2011 tornado.
Emily Younker and Wally Kennedy of The Joplin Globe attended along with Beth Pike, Stephen Hudnell, Scott Charton and Doug Crews.
Beth and Emily participated in a Q&A session after the screening.

Another film on the Joplin tornado, "Heartland," was shown prior to "Deadline in Disaster."
Earlier in the day, the film was highlighted on a St. Louis television station. Click HERE to watch the segment.
